Why HAVE it? Most of the programming is nothing but trash anyway. The cost for satellite or cable is overblown. The time spent in front of the idiot box is better spent in other activities.
The positives of a tv-less life far outweigh any illusory ‘positives’ of what passes for entertainment today.

I only watch about 5 shows on a semi-regular basis (I dvr stuff and watch it while eating dinner). Why kill it? I agree. I enjoy the History Channel, Discovery ID, the Military Channel and the Sportsman Channel.
