Pound for pound, chicken is cheaper out here than peanut butter or jelly-it is the cheapest source of protein there is other than dried beans...

This weekend I accomplished many tasks including a 3 mile walk around a lake with my ill brother and friends, dealt with a Mac Laptop issue for my folks, and met 2 sets of good friends. But that which I am most proud was arranging for the back yard to be emptied of all the trumpery left by former tenants, leaving a large yard of leaves and old branches. Next week: chainsaw!!

It might-I don’t know because I don’t have any PB in the house-I don’t like the taste or texture of it. But I do have a 5 lb bag of chicken thighs in the freezer, and at $4.59, that is less than a dollar a pound.

LOL I use the expensive low sodium variety of organic PB, even more expensive. but it’s hard to cook chicken living out of your car that has no gas.

There are serveral ways to make fire if you can find wood, but the lack of refrigeration would indeed confo PB, jelly, crackers-and MRE’s if you are lucky enough to have some...
