trumpery; noun
1. something without use or value; rubbish; trash; worthless stuff. 2. nonsense; twaddle: His usual conversation is pure trumpery. 3. Archaic . worthless finery.
Etymology: 1425–75; late Middle English trompery deceit < Middle French tromperie, equivalent to tromp ( er ) to deceive + -erie -ery
Rules: Everyone must leave a post using the Word for the Day in a sentence.
The sentence must, in some way, relate to the news of the day.

It’s only a measly hour, and i went to bed really early last night, but dang i feel like someone beat me with a rubber hose. Can it be the loss of an hour on Saturday?
Early in the campaign, there was much trumpery from the Donald.
I kind of suck at pinocle, as I can never keep count of the trumpery. It is no fin, as the rest of the family counts all of the suits.

if you could be anywhere and doing anything right now, what would it be? i mean, i know you are already sitting over there in the Europe and that’s pretty cushy anyway.
I am feeling like i would like to be in a luxury spa in Kauai, having a massage while hearing the ocean a few steps away and smelling the tropical flowers. i have been there and done this and i want it again, right now.
The press fanfare and virtual trumpetry announcing the “Age of Hope & Change” is now just so much trumpery...

Hmmmm, interesting question. I was in Hawaii once about 25 years ago, I still remeber the way it smelled when we got out of the airport. I honestly do not know how to answer that question, as I am somewhat longing for the Chesapeake Bay.....but that seems so boring. A beach chair on a deserted beach at the Outer Banks is kind of appealing, too.

xshub is out of town the end of this week, actually in CA, so probs not. i’d be game to go, but i don’t know if we will. oh the PAIRINGS were digested nine ways to Sunday last night. what can be left to say about them i don’t know, but rest assured the nattering will continue.

I didn’t think WVU was even going to be in the tournament. I think they stuck them in Pittsburgh just so there can be some local rooting interest.
I have been hanging out this morning, literally. DH got me an inversion table, I hung by my ankles for 15 minutes this morning. My back feels AWESOME! I am a new woman.
