Don't have high hopes after hearing they worked Matai Shang - the villain from the 3rd book - into the first.
No wonder people found the story confusing if they took the rather simple story of “A Princess of Mars” and tried to make it something else.
Telling that the ACTUAL story of “The Gods of Mars” (the 2nd book, where Matai Shang first appears), written almost a hundred years ago, is still WAY TOO AHEAD OF ITS TIME!!!!
The actual theme of “The Gods of Mars” would apparently offend way too many people.
