Krauthammer just said that Gingrich’s southern strategy is a no go. He said you can’t win national elections with regional wins only.
As you correctly point out, Gingrich is placing 3rd and 4th in neighboring southern states. So even his own southern strategy is in tatters. His 7% vote in MI was a killer for Santorum. Had Romney lost in MI, Santorum would have been on a roll with all the momentum and Romney would have been toast. Once again, Gingrich is playing the role of egomaniacal spoiler in the marquee contest of Super Tuesday!. He must quit NOW and he’s being kept afloat only by the dollars of his casino mogul benefactor.
We can win with Santorum, he’s matched up against Romney and faught him to a draw in MI and OH.
We need to stop fighting him with one hand tied behind our backs. We can beat Mitt, but we have to make that hard decision now.
Through the years I've been here, I've generally thought of Freepers as level headed .....
...but some of them lately are so star struck with Newt, they have forgotten to put the good of the country ahead of their idol.......tis a pity.--
I know many here like Newt....Newt is a likeable guy.....
..unfortunately a select few will resort to name calling and bullying to get their point across.
But Rick Santorum will press on toward the goal, regardless of Newt's decision to remain.....
..It will be harder, but I believe Rick Santorum can do it!!...GO RICK!
