Homosexual behavior could be considered an option, but homosexuality, i.e. homosexual orientation, is not an option. These people are wired a certain way, and they can only be rewired with extreme difficulty if at all.

The vast majority of homosexuals (both male and female) report early sexual molestation, usually by a same sex relative or family friend.

Let's execute pedophiles and the issue will likely vanish.

I've heard it claimed that alcoholics are "wired that way." Let's celebrate sloppy drunkenness! If you don't, you're a "hater!"

I have alcoholism in my family: grandfather, two uncles, two first cousins--that I know of. But I do not have that tendency. In fact I've never been addicted to anything--coffee, cigarettes, alcohol, drugs... I have the opposite of an addictive personality. I don't think I could be addicted to anything (but I'm not going to tempt fate). I'm just not wired that way. I think the family members who are/were alcoholic are/were wired that way. I think it's hereditary. It also skips generations.

I think the sociopathic personality might also be hereditary and variously expressed. I have two close relatives who had that disorder, and there was absolutely NOTHING in the environment of either to predispose them to this.
