My missus got beaned in the head by a hummingbird.
We, apparently, were close to a nest.
So we stayed away from that tree for the rest of the season.
You would hear them in the tree doing their bubbling chirps.
Oddly, they wouldn’t atack the cats.
They would follow them, be real nosey about what the cats were doing.
But never attacked them.

Hummers are apparently very territorial. Mr. SG’s old buddy (a Native American—former definition) liked big birds. I like the spirit of those little guys. Gregory actually defended his sugar water feeder against stinging insects. What a guy!

P.S. Sorry about the missus. Ya gotta watch out for those guys!
