I had surgery to relieve a deviated septum and then I bent over to pet my girl Great Dane while she was getting up, she hit my face w/her very hard head—you get the picture. Then, at the gym, one of the cable pull handles was fastened unsafely, dropped on my nose, and broke it again.

Good morning, ladies! I’ve made it to my present age with no broken noses. Just good fortune, I suppose, although I expect having a Great Dane is a risk factor for many injuries ....

Raining here. Bill and Tom are getting a late start over to church to help with the annual cleanup. DP left before 7:00 to go sailing; maybe it’s not dead calm up at the lake.

I did that. My son had been with his gran or he would have been in the accident. When I finally got see him, I bent down to hug him at the same time he jumped up to hug me. Yep. His hard little head hit my tender nose. The good thing was that the nerves were dead (some still are) but I felt the pain through my sinuses.

Ironically, 15 years later, he was in a car accident and his nose was the one that was scrunched.
