Our idea of a golf course prank was to hide behind the 18th green, which was a “blind” par four (cant see from the tee).
Occasionally someone would roll one up near the green and we would grab it and put it in the hole.
They would come over the hill, search for the ball, not find it, then start with a new ball, finding their original “Hole in One” ball once they putted out. Cheers and back slaps all round, then to the 19th hole bar.
We could only do this a few times before the greenskeeper, who LIVED at the 19th hole bar, would come out and chase us away.
