No, an American rock group with a British lead singer. Is Garbage a Scottish group because the lead singer is from Scotland?

I dunno about that, but if so you could make a very strong case for Van Halen being a Dutch band since Alex and Eddie were born in the Netherlands...

As near as I can tell, Foreigner is considered a British rock group (although the lead singer is from Rochester, NY). But The Pretenders are considered a band from Ohio, even though all of them except Chrissy Hynde are Brits.

Say what?
