I live in the area and know someone involved with the PMN so I’ve been following this story. Analysts have said any potential buyers should be prepared to lose millions until they can strike a profitable formula for running the papers.

I grew up with those newspapers - delivered both as a paper boy. I literally watched and read as the papers became useless, devoid of real content. The Daily News was always garbage, mostly for sports but I could tell by the weight of the papers that volume of content not just value was dropping.
Great points..also rememeber that the papers are heavily unionized, and can only hope to return to some semblance of financial stability with significant changes in union compensation and work rules..it’ll be fun to watch the liberal dems fight with the trades unions..the 99%
