I thought “nincompoop” was rather gentle. “Dumbass” came to mind...
I try to keep to a strict rule of “no namecalling.” But now and then.....I just can’t help it so I keep it at a childish level.
I considered Cotton Headed Nini-Muggin. But that is more for a gaff than strict stupidity/ignorance.
