Given the big Republican-party push for Romney, it seems to me that the Republican-party doesn’t really want to defeat him.
Rush theorized, and I agree, that the estabs want to run Romney not to defeat Obama, but to hopefully keep the love of the sainted independent voters enough to have a shot at winning the Senate and holding onto the House.
