The calls started again this week. We think that it is actually coming from a union that objects to my political activism.
Since the CIO once tried to murder my grandparents, I take no chances, but I don’t back down.
I don’t know how remote or urban your place is, or the lot size, so these things all vary, but...
Try not to “telegraph” home occupancy by predicatble car parking. Sometimes in a garage, sometimes not. Sometimes park at a friends place, or behind the house, etc.
Put up lots of wired and wireless (solar) motion activated spotlights. Yes, they’ll go off due to wind blowing trees sometimes, so what? You want lights going off unpredictably.
Don’t “telegraph” occupancy with interior lights either. Get and use light timers. They are much better now than in years past.
After all of that, get a million-candlepower portable/rechargeable hand spotlight, and do the following. Give your house the “unoccupied” look at least one night a week, then slip outside, move to random corners, and lightup your house and grounds with the powerful light. Don’t mind if it “sweeps” neighbors a bit. Make your property just too unpredictable to approach.
And keep in mind that home invasions often begin with being followed home, like the Doctor’s wife and daughter in CT a few years back. Teach and practice counter-surveillance, always watch for cars following you home. Vary your routes, and do “clearing runs.” If you are followed, do NOT go home, but to by a police station etc.
And depending on your personal tastes, get some guns, and BE SEEN “casually” carrying them from the house to the car.
