This interview with Adele is from last February. I'm fairly unhip when it comes to the latest celebs, but my 15 year old fights me in the mornings to listen to his favorite modern rock station instead of my talk radio so I'm getting re-educated a little bit and starting to like some of the modern stuff out there.
Adele seems pretty down to earth. I'm kinda partial to the working class London types being as "me mum" was once of that class. Anyway, I kind a like her and her singing's not bad either.

She is the anti-Gaga. Real singing, no auto-tune, no need to wear shocking outfits that say, “Look at Me!”

I agree those artists that rely so much on costumes, weird antics tells me they have no talent. Adele was awesome at the grammy she is one of rare one that pops up on to the scene and shows us her god given talent. NO Lady Gaga costumes, Beyonce shaking booty, or weird performance. Just simply ADELE.

I hadn't even heard of her so I went searching today, I was impressed. No vocal calisthenics, just real singing. I can see why people like her songs, you could actually sing along with the songs.

Don’t sell yourself short. The less you know about the latest celebs the hipper you are.

I saw an interview with Adele last week in which she admitted to enjoy swearing. They showed some clips of her dropping several f-bombs. We don’t need another potty-mouth singer.

I don’t recall any of her songs having swear words in them...which in this day and age is a rarity.
So she swears in private...big deal.

Here is a link to the Air Force band video of Adele’s song that went viral a few months ago. They even made it to Good Morning America and other such programs. I like the song and like this rendition even better.

We? You mean you? I can make up my own mind who I want to listen to, thanks.
She is from a rather middle class area in London and has what appears to be conservative opinions (look up the backlash when she talked about her taxes). Potty mouth or not, she's a talent and down to earth.

Should she ever be asked to sing our national anthem at some event, I'll bet we wouldn't be subjected to screeching, howling, shouting or ghetto yodeling in her performance.

My husband got the 21 album for me for V-Day yesterday, a complete surprise. I had told him that I liked her voice some time ago and he remembered :) Great album.

There is a FR thread claiming that she has said the reason her career took off was .....Sarah Palin.
Basically Adele has said that she was booked for SNL when Sarah hosted. Everyone tuned in to see Sarah and Adele’s career skyrocketed right after that.

So she swears in private...big deal. It wasn't in private. It was in front of an audience before she began singing. There is something wrong with someone who "enjoys" swearing.
