Bobby had nothing to do with her self-destruction.

To wit, I used to work with a gentleman who lived in the same neighborhood with Whitney. As a matter of fact, his son was a very good friend of Whitney’s when she was a teenager. I recall asking him about Whitney’s self-destructive behaviour (back in 1999) and he informed me she was NEVER the sweetheart that she was portrayed as. He went on the say she was using dope (”smoking weed and snorting blow”) when she was a teenager.

So, stuff it. I don’t care for Bobby Brown either, but it’s not his fault she self-destructed. Why the hell do you think she married Bobby in the first place? The answer is because she was was just like him in every way. She just had a better PR machine promoting her.
