LOS ANGELES (KABC) -- Military helicopters buzzed through Los Angeles on Friday, catching the attention of many Southern California residents.
The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department said it seemed to be a routine transport of military helicopters from point A to point B, but no further details were available.
Eyewitness News viewers in downtown L.A., Compton and Pasadena reported seeing about 13 military helicopters fly overhead.
"Scared the bejeezus out of us in #Pasadena our house & windows were RUMBLING and RATTLING! phew!," Nicole Biegenzahn Tweeted.

We used to fly squadron formation enroute to cruise embarkation, probably what this is..

Buzzing to me meant I had to clean out tree limbs and such from the cargo hook and wheel wells upon landing,, HEHE what fun!!
Routinely have four Jolly Greens fly over in formation here during exercises by the National Guard. Me, I get a kick out ;em. Some, I guess, who are used to the not-so-powerful or loud engines of civilian choppers might find them intimidating. They fly at the altitude depicted in those pics but I know they’re coming a long way off and when they go directly over the house it does rattle a few things.
Just aligning GPS with real-time data. Nothing to see here :-)
Of course, I'm about a mile from the end of the active runway. So that happens pretty much every day. Never thought to tweet about it. ;)

A group of fellow Patriot Guard Riders and I went to North Mississippi this week to honor a Marine KIA (RIP Eddie), and a crop duster was doing his thing, when all of a sudden he came from behind us right over our head following the road,, nearly wet myself, but was funny afterwards..

For as long as I remember (long time) military hilos have traced the LA river going and coming, makes those unplanned (sudden) landings less problematic.
Yesterday's show sounded like a looong freight train and looked awesome.
