It's what he DID that counts. And he testified in Congress AGAINST Crap & Tax. And wrote a book Drill Here, Drill Now, Pay Less.
But you know that. And you think a picture is the boogeyman. Pffft!
IN other words, GIngrich has said different things at different times to different groups of people.
SOmething people are attacking Santorum for. You know it wasn’t just a picture, and that Gingrich did not ALWAYS speak out against cap-and-trade, and that he DID in fact support insurance mandates at one time, before he said he didn’t.
I’m not one to criticize candidates who change their position on issues, if there’s a good explanation for it. But let’s not pretend that just because Gingrich said the right thing one place, that he never ever said the opposite at any other time.
I’ll let others decide whether Gingrich appearing at a congressional hearing to testify against a cap-and-trade bill is “doing something”, while appearing on a national TV advertisement with Nancy Pelosi urging Americans to ask congress to do something about global warming isn’t “doing something”. They are both just TALKING after all, and which do you think had a bigger impact of the global warming debate?
