My lover slipped under the covers,
To welcome me once more,
As light began to filter in,
The eyes they covered o'er.

"It's good to have you here again."
"I feel the same for Thee."
And as the day grew bright outside,
My love was warming me.

"I've brought you another present,
What will you do with this day?"
"Well, I'd like to think that I'll make You proud,
But only God can say."

"You've already made a marvelous start,
Just keep it up for a while."
"I'll do my best, for I know my reward,
Will forevermore be Your smile!"
