Newt will make them all whiff. That is Newt’s strength - taking them and their ideology on.
Newt does not have to answer any of their questions he feels are biased. Just ignore their question, and turn it into an Obama vetting probe. The one they didn’t do in 2008.
All good points, but he shouldn’t have to debate the moderators or field unfair, compound questions and “How long since you quit beating your wife? gotcha!” questions.
At least one of moderators should be posing honest questions, not softballs but questions the public wants discussed. Maybe Brit Hume or someone like him.
Otherwise he’ll come off as contentious and argumentative while The One will be portrayed as reasonable/statesmanlike, and that’s what the left wants.
I’m just agreeing with him. Who wants to carry on a dialogue with people who despise you? Apparently he doesn’t and I don’t blame him, or maybe as others have pointed out he’s just sucking them in.
Like you say, maybe he could pull off a Truman: “I’m not giving them hell. I’m just telling the truth and they think it’s hell.”
