Hume is especially disgusting. At leat Ann was always a grenade thrower. But Hume has always been measured until now.
The worst part isn’t that Hume doesn’t like Newt - which is clearly the case. It’s that he can’t be objective enough to say ANYTHING positive about him or give him credit for anything, either in the campaign or in his past. Every Myth setback is a tactical error. Every Newt gain is an accident or destined-to-be-fleeting.
We all know there’s plenty to criticize about Newt. But any reasonable person can also see that for conservatives at least, there’s also lots to like. Hume sees none of it, and I’ve never heard him say a positive word about Newt.
Between him, Kraut, Coulter...you really wonder what’s going on.

Kraut’s really turned around I think. He’s been really down on Romney ever since Bain and taxes came up. Not sure if he’s sounded pro-Newt but I think he has said some good things about him and not tried to poo-poo his success in SC.

Krauthammer is easy enough to figure out. He was Mondale’s speechwriter in the ‘84 election, trying to deny Ronald Reagan a second term.
The bigger question is why that opportunist is accepted as a conservative guru. The same can be said about Michael Medved, a Hanoi cheerleader during the Vietnam War.

When Bret was interviewing Brit on their usual segment on Fox, Brit was angrily assaulting Newt about the negative ratings.
When he finished his vitriolic assault Bret asked Brit...’what do I tell viewers when they say you are in the tank for Romney’?
Bret replied, with a little smirk, ‘well you tell them I said Newt won a whopping victory in South Carolina’
Well, yes he did Bret, everyone knows this but the question not asked was...are you pleased with that result?
