Shooting at poorly identified hominid shapes in the woods strikes me as the epitome of poor judgement. Not that there is anything wrong with that.

There was a debate over the legendary Scottish Jumping Cat—that had back legs like a rabbit and would hunt by jumping. Lots of people thought it was a myth and just a story—until someone shot one. and proved they exist.
