Knock yourself out, but pork and poultry are equally bad for the huiman body. It doesn’t matter. Animal protein contains cholesterol, which the body does not need in excess of what it creates itself.

I think we have teeth that says we eat meat. (yeah my grammar sucks)

I’m at the age I am heading for ‘the change’ so I am battling weight most all the time now.

I must say the weight-watchers online thing is wonderful! Eat whatever you want just log it and it counts for points. Lose or maintain, it is so simple and perfect.

This opened my eyes as to the chicken-pork difference. I would have thought chicken breast so much better. Not so. A very lean pork is better.

Anyhow, I don’t intend to go vegetarian or pile that on an unwilling family. I like my meat and my family loves and expects my cookin’ that includes meat—nom nom nom. :)

I do admit to less butter and more olive oil and stuff like that. Though, I still use a good ham-bone for beans and salt-pork is still on the charts, too.

Chicken can’t be fried without a whole bunch of oil...ha! And we love us some good Sunday fried chicken! Though none of it is anythang as good as what Granny fried up. :9

My sister tried that vegetarian thang, funny she lost weight and then after ‘bout a year, she started to plump up on it. I eat everything under the sun—still not plumped to the vegetarian sister healthy *whatever*. hahaha!

Meat contains trace minerals our bodies need and that are not available in vegetables.

You need protein and meat has that in abundance.

Cholesterol is not harmful, it’s what you eat that is harmful.

Grains, sugar, high fructose corn syrup, PROCESSED foods, etc., that is what is killing us.

Eat meat, vegetables, fruit, eggs, full fat dairy. Real food. Eat nothing from a box. Buy as organic or pastured as you can afford. Dump all grains but especially wheat.

Go to this website:

Read the book Wheat Belly. Quite the eye-opener.

Sorry dude. Never been in a hospital except to have bone chips in my knee removed, and I’ve had three physicals in the last two years for insurance reasons and rate a gold star on every one. And I eat MEAT, MEAT, MEAT and more animal protein.

Then why is it that animal protein in and of itself does not affect blood insulin levels at all? Fat does not affect blood insulin in and of itself.

Carbohydrates, on the other hand, cause out of control insulin release in a very large segment of the human population. It is insulin that causes the body to store fat. It is insulin that causes metabolic syndrome and it is metabolic syndrome that is the direct cause of heart disease.

The human body needs fat. The human brain must have fat to function. Primitive man got most of his fat from animal sources, not from Wesson. There is research to show that industrial seed oils like canola make the human body react with an inflammatory response. That reaction can and will contribute to heart disease.

It is to Big Pharma’s advantage to keep most of us obese and sick. Here, take this pill and you can eat all the flour and sugar you want. Not me, not ever.

The body does not take animal fat and make more cholesterol out of it, or animal cholesterol for that matter. Humans produce their own cholesterol and diet has very little, if anything, to do with how much is in our bodies. I will eat meat, all types, until I die. I am 70 now and my cholesterol level is always low. Genetics is the key, not diet. Diabetes can be controlled with diet but that diet has nothing to do with meat and everything to do with carbs. Carbs are a bigger enemy to the body than meat.

Humans need cholesterol, its why its in mother’s milk.

Cholesterol is necessary for synapse formation in the brain.

Some cholesterol lowering drugs actually form Alzheimer-like holes in the brain.
