Jermaine’s dad, Kevin Jones, who says the sob story is absurd — that he has had an ongoing relationship with the young man through the years and even had dinner with him on both Wednesday and Thursday night of last week.

HAHAHA!

I wondered how his "estranged" dad knew his phone number.

Jermaine Jones Will Be Kicked Off 'American Idol'

As we first reported, producers discovered Tuesday that Jermaine had lied about his criminal history and that triggered the decision to confront him on camera Tuesday afternoon.

We're told one of the incidents involved violence, which was particularly troublesome to producers. He also lied to cops by giving them fake names both times he was arrested.

"A.I." sources tell us ... Jermaine will appear on the show tomorrow night before he is sent packing.

Old Man River is up the creek.

He should have gone last week. But, that means no one will go this week. Except him of course.

Oh, my.

Jennifer picked him. Will she act like she’s lost her BFF or will she be angry? I know I would be royally p.o.’d!

Then again, they may just ignore it altogether.

Jermaine was, of course, the contestant who was sent packing, then brought back in a manner that was sure to tug at viewers’ heartstrings. But just as the media – and social media – can help support a contestant, it can also bring them down or spread bad news quickly.

In this case, Twitter allowed the news to be spread much more quickly than in past years, as Jermaine tweeted Tuesday that he was off the show. That particular post was quickly deleted from his official Idol account – and apparently, the whole account has been removed as well – but everybody knows once something is sent out into the internet, you can never really take it back.

I have also heard that Jermaine later tweeted to wonder how he could be lying when he claims he never said anything. There are several problems with this, not the least of which is that we know all the contestants on this show are asked about things like a criminal record in their past. So how he can claim he was never asked is something of a mystery to me.

Jermaine will apparently appear on one more episode of the show – tonight’s – and will be sent packing. I’m not sure if we’re supposed to consider that a fond farewell or a public whipping, but that will be the last Idol sees of him. He had a second chance, but won’t get a third.

I sorta feel vindicated. I just didn't like him. Something about him just bugged the living snot outta me.

Every time they called him the Gentle Giant, I thought you mean Big Blubbering Black Baby because of his crybaby act when they first cut him. I felt surely I must be a racist--after all, I don't like Obama either. ;^)
