Very true. But the Tebow haters are already using it as another stick to beat him with. And the newest one? 'He's putting a sick kid over the team. He doesn't care about football.'

SIGH.

What a sad when when society can't recognize good when its staring them in the face. Have we become so jaded that good is now abnormal?

God help us all.

Tebow only mentioned God three times during his postgame presser, once at the beginning, once at the end and once when someone managed to reference Solomon while posing a question that was both fawning and leading.Yes, he referenced Zach McLeod, the 20-year-old Cambridge resident who is recovering from a severe brain injury. Tebow, who met with the young man before the game, said, “I’m a little disappointed we weren’t able to win tonight. We played a great team and they played well and you have to give them a lot of credit. Still, it wasn’t a bad day. It still was a good day because before the game I got to spend some time with Zach McLeod and make him smile, and when you get to do that it’s still a positive day and it’s still a good day.

It’s a lame question. A better question would be: Does spending time with the likes of Zach McLeod get in the way of winning? Obvious answer: No. Pro athletes have all kinds of pregame rituals. This is Tebow’s. Deal with it.That is a defense of Tebow and his great work.

Regarding putting a sick kid over the team, I remember Lance Armstrong saying that his Cancer Foundation was more important than winning Tour de France championships. Although not for those reasons, but Tebow and Armstrong are my 2 favorite athletes (and Brady is not on my list).
