I’d love to see Newt or Perry surge. If Mittiens is the guy, I’ll vote for him only because I really believe that the hubris of the Obama administration, while running for re-election, will turn to a no-holds-barred assault on our Representative Republic and it might not survive another 4 years of him.

Mitt's obviously the party establishment favorite. What really matters on election day is who you cast your ballot for, and nobody will know who that is. In the mean time, telling them you'd vote for Romney makes it more likely he'll be the nominee. They'll do whatever they think they can get away with. The only way they'll do anything different is if it starts to look like they won't get away with it again.

I can understand voting for Romney when the time comes, but don't tell them you will beforehand. That just makes them keep pushing rinos at us.

Yes, he is. A Romney win is a BIG loss for the Tea Party. The Tea Party candidates are Newt, Santurum and Perry. Unfortunately, because there are three Tea Party candidates and only one GOP establishment candidate. Romney is very lucky that the Tea party has 3 spoilers splitting the conservative vote. That's the biggest threat of a Romney win.
