I'm not able to give you a reason to vote FOR Romney without once mentioning the current president or his policies, cableguym. That's the problem with having Romney as our nomination.
There's no passion for Romney therefore (just like with McCain) there will be no attempts to convert votes for Romney in the general election. Many of us who would have been excited activists for a particular conservative Tea Party candidate with be unable to get excited enough about Romney to go door to door for him. The most some of us deeply involved in politics would do would be to just go and vote. Our vote. Our one vote. Period. And when that's the situation you can bet money that many more of us will not go vote at all. Obama will win by default.
It's frustrating, I know but at this point Romney is not yet the nominee.
The good news is we can get excited and passionate now but not just against Romney but FOR a candidate that has the most chance at beating him. We're still in the primaries.
