You forget that most dogs don't have the intellect to distinguish a sidewalk from a yard territorially. And I know of a case that a jogger was hit by a car in a street trying to avoid a vicious dog that chased him there.

You need to consider such things.

No I don’t.

A jogger is not normally chased beyond the dog’s territory.

I am a jogger. I’m speaking from experience.
