Glad that your weather is nice! I have no idea on the rosemary, but hopefully will let us know ... I have 5 brown plants myself. I’m fairly certain that there is a lady up north that can give us some info.
I'd love to, but I don't know how you're listed! :)
Just give some to your husband on his Hot Cakes and if he survives then it is safe to share...
Oh my ... your house is really stout to stand up to that kind of wind and snow! Stay safe and warm!
Oh, I think it’s safe. I just don’t want to do anything to make it unsafe.

We have cut back drastically in the vegetable department but Lady Bender starts lots of annual flower seeds.
There was a time when we maintained 2 large veggie gardens, one here on the coast and one 70 miles NE in a warmer drier climate...
Happy New Year!
Asking for Zone 8 recommendations for “large” fruit cherry tomatoes. Getting ready next week to plant my flats under grow lights. Expect to repot mid to end of February for transplanting about 15 March.
This year I’m concentrating on tomatoes, cucumbers, sweet and hot peppers. Gonna try again with last year’s failed crops: squash, eggplant and pole beans.
Best to all,
R.
I have done alot of reinforcing. A big pine tree in my neighbors yard was blown over.
Just in from the chilly North!
I am glad to be home amongst my mango and avocado trees! :-)
Congratulations on your retirement!
I have stored opened syrup in the fridge for better than a year - no problem. If you were to just decant it into smaller bottles and give some away, it should be fine as long as they pop it into the fridge.
Otherwise I suggest you contact a maple syrup “farm”, there are lots of small ones in NY and Vermont, and they should be able to advise.
There are some varieties that are supposed to be hardy up to zone 5. I’m planning to test one of those next year. I love rosemary.
A fellow FReeper and her daughter need our Prayers and perhaps a ping out to your list JADB? Please read post #280 for the latest update on Judith Anne...

Thank you for the info on rosemary. This is the first year I’ve had rosemary bushes and I didn’t know how they would fare. A couple of years ago I had a cilantro plant that survived almost the entire winter. It was about 4 ft. tall when it finally expired.
Please post photos of the stained glass project. I know it will be beautiful!
Welcome back South! Happy New Year to you!
Excellent suggestions. Thanks.
If there’s scum on top, skim it off, then bring the rest to a boil and can it like it was jelly.
