Its a leftist thing.
I had one of these assholes park within inches og my Alfa Spider. NO WAY he could get out the door without hitting ,y car.
I waited for him - and asked WTF he was doing. He said “You shouldn’t drive a car like that if you can’t afford the damage” - note the similar language - as if my property had anything to do with his actions.
It is just that loser leftists are more common now.
Anyone stupid enough to think a 15 year old Alfa Spider is a “fancy car” - (I have owned ot for >20 years - and it is worth more than I paid - it is CHEAP to own) - isn’t worth the time of day.
But the culture is a bit bizarre to hear in person.
But the culture is a bit bizarre to hear in person.I was once a sysadmin at a ~20k student univ. Helpdesk sent me discplinary cases - seemed like a lot, but really small % of student body. Anyhow, I got a run of kids who couldn't grasp the concept that just because it was possible to do something didn't make it OK to do. Bizzarre is the word...
The last few years I've enjoyed seeing how happy I can make some people by simply holding a door with a smile and showing manners (yes, please or thank you).I've been growled at and chewed out for my chauvinism for holding doors. Lucky for me, the screeching harpie types are easy to identify so in their case I'd look 'em right in the eye and let the door go just in time so they couldn't catch it before it closed. But I always smiled as I did it...
I also enjoy not holding the door for jerks, especially during the 'hot coffee' season now upon us.
When I was a kid, the attitude was "Look at so-and-so. He drives a great car, lives in a great neighborhood. I should try to be more like him."
Now that the children of the 60s are in charge, the attitude is: "Look at so-and-so. He drives a great car, lives in a great neighborhood. What the Hell did HE do to deserve such great stuff? Let's throw a rock at the car!"
I'm hoping that the attitude changes, as the hippie generation becomes less relevant. Figure that they're peaking, right now. Might already have hit their peak in '08.
