My son recently married a Filipino girl and not only is she drop dead gorgeous, she’s also very polite and respectful.
She always called me ma’am when she got here. I told her “mom” sounds better. :)
The only thing that would worry me is what you describe as the driving habits.
My new DIL and another Filipino friend both had brothers killed in car accidents.
Other than that, it sounds like a beautiful place to live!
