A lot of it, I think, has to do with getting cautious because a 70 year old, who makes a costly mistake has a lot more to lose than a 25 year old who makes the same costly mistake.
For the same mistake, I think most people would be more willing to forgive a young person than a senior.

70-year-olds may have response times similar to those of 25-year olds. Just watch Grandma espy that lone cookie on the counter at the same time as does little Timmy. Timmy will be pulling back a stump as Granny is wolfing down that Toll-house...

Going on 63, my thought processes are definitely slowing a tad — but when they do, I just pop one of those new “Brainagra” pills, and things snap back into shape!
