FR preferences for GOP presidential nominee

Posted on 12/17/2011 9:40:49 AM PST by Degaston

What seems to be the general opinion of Freepers on the various presidential candidates and who Freepers would like to see get the GOP presidential nomination? Gary Johnson? Jon Huntsman? Ron Paul? Bill Still? Barak Obama? Barry Soetro? Newt Gingrich? Rick Perry? Rick Santorum? Michelle Bachmann? Mitt Romney? someone else?

I wish we COULD forget Paul....but he’s polling pretty strong in Iowa.

Is that poll registered Republicans?

Absolutely... So what does Romney’s bishop have to say about his support for abortion, hmmmm?

Romney is the WORST of both worlds - a Mormon that seems to have missed on the (mostly) commendable personal ethics of LDS members, while not denouncing the whacked out teachings of Joey’s cult.

I will vote for 0 before I vote for Romney - the only thing worse than a liberal is a liberal cross dressing as a moderate republican.

I’ve been working 60+ hours/week (and paying lots of taxes (so the deficit doesn’t grow as fast) lately so I don’t have time to post here much. Mostly I like to lurk so I can keep up with what’s going on in the minds of mainstream active conservatives.

“None of the Above”

Yep.

Mitt's out as far as I am concerned, the rest have been pretty well Alinsky'd.

Seems there is a strong contingent here who want to send an amphibian to drain the swamp. Uh Huh. Right...

We haven't even seen the Iowa Caucuses and Duh Won has a clear run at the goal line. Pure Chicago way.

Thanks much for posting a sensible, rationale analysis.

On a scale of 1 to 10 (most important) how do we score the following:

New actually worked for Freddie Mac.
We are running a deficit of $1.5 trillion.
We are $15 trillion in debt.
Newt said something he maybe shouldn't have.
Regulations and high taxes are killing American business.
We have a "drill nowhere, drill never" energy policy.
Newt has been married more than once.

You get the idea.

And what is Faux News (AKA the Romney Channel) focused on? Well it's not the economy and the overbearing, overspending, Obama Marxist government that's for sure.

Not questioning you, only, if someone comes here fairly often, or lurks as you claim, I’m surprised by your question. It’s pretty obvious we have a field of followers for most all candidates. I’m not familiar with a chosen one. Romney and Paul are the two anti-chosen, if anything.
