What would be really funny is if she does a good job.

Anyone can be a journalist. Not anyone can be a great one, but ANYONE can be one.

In college I worked on the paper there as a graphics editor for a few years. Had a lot of friends from that college (mine was engineering). They were the laziest people that complained so much about having to do so little. They did know how to drink and throw parties. Almost all liberal to a tee.

That’s partially what they’re afraid of. If she does a very good job without any formal training it will show it doesn’t take anything to be a sacred journalist.

A “journalist”, in a traditional sense, writes. These hairy monkeys are called “readers” in the UK.

I used to know one bona fide journalist named Henry Fairlie. Look ‘im up. Hemingway started out as a journalist.
