It seems like there was some conspiracy in which the seller sold his team to the highest bidder.
Sold to the highest bidder and then approved by the league owners or the highest bidder won and there was no approval by the league owners?
Unfortunately those guys called "owners" tend to distort the whole feel good "highest bidder" process.
