Brigitte Bardot tells Christie that NJ's bear hunt is 'carnage'

SAINT-TROPEZ, France -- French actress turned animal rights campaigner Brigitte Bardot on Friday urged New Jersey governor Chris Christie to halt what she called the "scandalous carnage" of the state's annual bear hunt.

New Jersey wildlife officials say the six-day cull is needed to control a growing population of black bears. With two days of hunting to go, 369 black bears have been killed, the Division of Fish and Wildlife said on its website.

Last year, 592 bears were killed -- what hunters call "harvested."

I’m on her’s and the bear’s side. The government doesn’t care about animals unless they can be paid to have them killed. Heil Holidays!

Actually it’s kind of refreshing to see an old female celebrity who doesn’t get her skin stretched every other month. Not that she has any sense about anything else.

Let’s not be too hard on Bridget.
This stance on the bears may be a bit misguided, but
in her retirement years she has donated millions and has used her fame to raise millions to help animals and has done a great deal to fight the Muslim take-over in France.
That’s a lot more than you can say for most celebs.

Today, she is much loved by the people of France- and I admire her, too.

http://www.time.com/time/world/article/0,8599,1731098,00.html

The following year she was convicted anew for decrying the loss of French identity and tradition due to the multiplication of mosques “while our church bells fall silent for want of priests.”

In 2000, Bardot was again convicted — this time for comments in her book Pluto’s Square, whose chapter “Open Letter to My Lost France” grieved for “...my country, France, my homeland, my land is again invaded by an overpopulation of foreigners, especially Muslims.” And in 2004, another Bardot book, A Cry In the Silence, again took up the question of immigration and Islam — ultimately running afoul of anti-racism laws by generally associating Islam with the 9/11 terror attacks, and denouncing the “Islamization of France” by people she described as “invaders”.

The prosecution has called for the harshest possible punishment in the hope of getting through to Bardot the seriousness of her transgressions of French law. MRAP implored the judge to “take note of this refusal by (Bardot) to learn the lessons of previous convictions and cease using racist language”.

I think BB does not realize that NJ is lousy with Black Bears. They need to be thinned out.

So someone cannot be right on one issue and wrong on another?

Ron Paul is right about the Fed.
And I praise him for his perspective and how he presents his argument.

Ron Paul is a complete numbskull on foreign policy.
And for that I criticize him and ridicule him.

Why? My goal is not to support him as an individual but to find support for those causes I support and to destroy the argument of those who are contrary to those policies that I consider important.

Bordeaux was correct on the Muslim issue. She’s a nitwit on the issue of a bear hunt in NJ. The areas they are talking about are overrun with black bears. I can’t believe it has taken this long to thin them out. They are knocking on back doors and trying to drag toddlers away for crying out loud.

I'm saying people here turn on their former heroes on a dime.

They don't say, "She's right on this issue but wrong on that one."

They rip them based on today's disagreement with no thought of past agreements.

Pains me to realize it and say, but in this respect conservatives are no different than libs.

When she agrees with them, they post her sex kitten photos.

When she disagrees, they post her 70 year old photos.

Round up the bears and relocate them to Trenton. Let them thin out the overpopulation of human excrement there.

Well, personally I like BB, her music and her love of animals.

But the bears currently occupy not NJ but Wall Street. Get the OWS on ‘em.

Article states that her Foundation Bridgit Bardot is based on the principle stated by Ghandi that a country’s greatness could be judged by their treatment of animals.

This from Ghandi, a strange little man who forced his multiple wives to give him an enema every day- one serious weirdo.

I’d cut Bardot a little slack— she has tried to remove the cultural pestilence in France that is the ever increasing muslim illegal population that is destroying what is left of them. She loves animals because people are far less innocent in a natural sense.

Probably Bridget just doesn’t realize the gravity of the situation. All she sees is all these bears killed.
We can forgive her this small infraction if we look at all she has done for the welfare of animals world wide.

She retired from the screen at 39.
She had the courage to quit while she was ahead, not have garish face lifts, hang around and try to compete with the younger stars and embarrass herself.
She retired from the movies and devoted the rest of her life to helping animals, donating and raising millions for them.
She is one of he few public figures (if not the only one) in France to speak out against the invasion of France by Muslims.
She was heavily fined and jailed for it.
This lady is to admired.

I wonder if Chris Christie - in his wildest dreams - ever thought he would be a subject of discussion for the great BB.

P.S.: Please! Only photos from the 50s and 60s!
