Your list? I've never heard of this controversy. Saw the title, thought it was about one of my favorite Sousa marches, March of the Mitten Men

Gosh, you must be a real Sousa buff to know about the "March of the Mitten Men." It's certainly not one of his better known works, though just about all of them are stirring.

Although I consider myself somewhat of an amateur American history maven, I confess that I had never heard of Mr. Mitten, nor for that matter, anyone by that name.

Oh my goodness, the impressionable children wouldn’t be allowed to play that march in most schools today because it includes that war tune, Onward Christian Soldiers. I can just see heads rolling at the school board!

Poor Mr. Sousa. He don’t get no respect.
