Because there are so many tech 'gurus' on FR, I wanted to see if anyone can recommend an upload which will allow my PC to play DVDs. It is a Dell. Windows XP. The system is appx 6 years old.
I no longer have TV but would like to be able to view movies on my desktop. I ran a search on it but couldn't find any answers that are specific.
Thanks in Advance!

Now for the first buy a new computer with Windows 7 or Apple OS statement.
Just kidding about that. Although it might be better with a new computer.
Like everyone else before has suggested, please use VLC media player.

VLC
I have been using it for 9+ years. It’s free and works with just about any video format you can come up with.
Others have linked to it.

I use VLC as well ... additionally, it allows me to play DVDs from England, Hungary, and Australia without a problem.
