I didn’t used to keep track of who I was arguing with on FR, but eventually I started noticing certain types haunt certain threads, and their only goal is to pounce on anyone who doesn’t agree with them. They usually have one area that they’re kind of obsessed with (education, abortion, atheism) and they run all over the thread with this swaggering, chest-thumping attitude. They usually have a very distinctive posting style too. You can tell it’s them by the format before you even look at the bottom of the post.

It is too bad that you’re so caught up in this that you choose to take the side of someone who thinks that a woman having sex with a minor is ok.

You are right about that. We all have a “posting style” that becomes almost like a signature and after awhile you can recognize a lot of posters almost as if you were hearing their distinctive “voice”.
As far as the trolls go, it drives them nuts to ignore them but once I recognize one that is exactly what I do.
