I do give people money, or supplies, or a place to stay, etc. If I have something, and someone I care about needs that something, then of course I give when I can.

Just today, at lunch, the guy sitting at the table next to me, whom I had just met while we were sitting there talking, couldn’t find his wallet. He was going through chemotherapy, had to quit his job because of the cancer, etc. When he couldn’t find his wallet, I happily offered to buy his lunch for him. But he found his wallet and it wasn’t necessary.

If people want to accuse me of having affairs with everyone that I help...

It reminds me of a saying we had in Grade School:

“What you misread in others is merely a reflection of your own mind.”
