Lets not forget that the SCOTUS *made* Texas educate ALL children in the state.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

So?....Is there any reason a state can't make the following laws:

** Do as Alabama has done. Require valid birth certificates and social security numbers ( but still allow those who do not have them to attend school.)

** Landlords do an e-verify on all tenants and can only rent to legal residents and citizens. ( That effects who attends the state's socialist K-12, colleges, and universities.

** Make transfer of deeds of homes and business property only to legal residents and citizens . ( Again that will help assure that only legal residents and citizens attend the state's socialist K-12, colleges, and universities.

** Require proof of legal residency or citizenship to receive any state welfare benefits or free school lunches.

** Require that car and trucks are only registered in the state to legal residents and citizens.

Good points all.

Let’s also not forget that Perry said Arizona’s SB 1070 “would note be right for Texas.”

At minimum, Perry’s lack of leadership is responsible for this absurd reality to some degree. Period.

Again, (for those of you who don't seem to get it) the FEDGOV is fighting all these state mandated laws tooth and nail.

We can pass all the laws we want but, until there are some radical changes, immigration is a FEDERAL matter.
