Tell Pat I wish him a happy birthday, and that I think ten is a nearly almost perfect age to be.

I was going to also promise not to afflict him with a poem, but I rather liked the sound and cadence of that last sentence, so who knows?

Pat’s birthday is a very important event, you know. Christmas is just a passing fad, in comparison.
