LOL! I must confess - I never, never go out after dark, anymore - and ESPECIALLY on the biggest paw-tee night of the year - with all those crazy drivers!

Today, I went shopping, and picked up groceries for the meal I have fixed every New Years Day for FIFTY years - spare ribs, saurkraut, black eyed peas and mashed potatoes. My grandma made this every first day of the new year (for over 70 years), and so did my mom.
My daughter called last night and wanted a reminder of how to cook the ribs - it looks like she is continuing the tradition!
I'm going to do black eyed peas but I DON'T do saurkraut (yuk) and what's his name don't do spare ribs..lol. Love them black eyed peas.
