OK let’s try to break this down.

What exactly is “stupid” about America making things here rather than sending our once-magnificent world leading manufacturing base to China?

You do realize do you not, that Germany has not done this, and is once again now the strongest nation in Europe.

Does it not make you stop and think that the nation we fought two world wars against, is not allowing their industrial base to be destroyed for CONVENIENCE?

Have we forgotten so quickly?

OK my opinion on China....we wouldn't be importing so much stuff if the unions didn't price american products out of the market...thats my break down...the world is what it is. live with it or change it yourself...I am in no mood for a big brewhaha on China...

Way back when, everything CHEAP was made in Japan. Now old things made in Japan or Occupied Japan are collectors items...Japan puts out some nice things now a days and they are no longer our deadly enemy as they once were. They tried to kill us and did kill a lot of our men during the war...China hasn't done that yet...

America regulated and unionized its manufacturing base to the point where it can no longer compete.

I will reward with my dollars those American companies that vigorously fight the unions and the regulatory regime.
