The 2012 Apocalypse for Mexico is going to be the election of an American President who enforces America’s immigration laws.

The Mayans couldn’t even predict their own extermination. With a track record like that I don’t get why anyone thinks they would be able to predict the end of the world.

And I thought I read somewhere that the Mayan calendars were off by 70 years?

Seriously, all a non-issue. Good Lord will come when he comes and we won’t know when that will be.

The Tortuguero inscription describes something that is supposed to occur in 2012 involving Bolon Yokte, a mysterious Mayan god associated with both war and creation. However, erosion and a crack in the stone make the end of the passage almost illegible, though some read the last eroded glyphs as perhaps saying, "He will descend from the sky." What are the odds...

If they Mayans were so wise and prescient about predicting the demise of the world, one would think they could have predicted (and done something about) their own demise.

If the Mayans could tell the future, why did they vanish?
