Back in 2003 I took a flight out of Detroit and was stuck between a very large guy on my left and a morbidly obese teenager with limited mental faculties on my right. I had to sit sideways in my seat while this kid alternated between eating potato chips and smearing skin softener on his hands and arms.

After over an hour, the stewardess finally noticed my dilemma and instead of moving me to first class, she took the kid up into first class and gave him a seat.........

I was too relieved to get that kid away from me to complain about him getting the preferential treatment........
