I never liked Clooney until “Up in the Air.” I thought he was amazing in that, reminded me of the “old days” actors.

I think comparison of Clooney to Cary Grant is apt. They both are very dapper. They both can play action, comedy, or drama. Obviously, Clooney doesn't have the goofy accent, but other than that, I think he is definitely a modern Cary Grant.

If you liked Up in the Air, you might try "Intolerable Cruelty." I thought he was very good in that one too, and Catherine Zeta Jones is a one woman fashion show. A very friendly-on-the-eyes quirky comedy.
