Well, you have a lot of different types down there. Narcissists for the most part. Yes, prideful, full of themselves and uncaring of others. Hateful, spiteful, selfish. Thinking highly of oneself, feeling entitled, does not equal rational pride in accomplishments or pride in appearance. Many of them think they are special, that the rules do not apply to them.
I am one who gives credit where credit is due. Mankind has long proven itself a reservoir of the deepest villainy, as well as some small flicker of righteousness. To attribute this darkness to Satan or other demons can be self-deceptive, as it is an open question how horrible man can be on his own, without help. Are we indeed so vile that demons are redundant?
So consider that Satan and his subjects might just be the “icing on the cake”. To paraphrase the commercial: “They don’t make man evil, they only inspire greater evil.”
“By their fruits shall ye now them, and socialism has been fruiting for a long, ling time.”
I suspect Cain [the brother that killed Abel] was the first proto-socialist. He was envious, jealous, hateful and a murderer.
