Context is everything, and nowhere more so than in climate history, where a graphic such as this seems to illustrate an alarming uptick in temperatures that has been blamed on modern man and his profligate burning of CO2

I hate to nit pick .. but I cannot abide sloppy work.

Tony, the problem isn't man's "profligate burning of CO2".

We're not burning CO2, we're allegedly generating too much CO2 by burning carbon based fuels.

Sheesh ...

I did see that....probably in the comments to the article at WUWT someone commented on that strange phrase...

CO2 does not burn. CO2 is the product of combustion.
