Aerial View of Avila Beach Resort

The central part of California might not be as famous for its beaches as Southern California, but this means you might just be surprised at the quality of the local beaches in Central California. Take Avila Beach, for example, a resort area that is smack dab in the middle of San Francisco and Los Angeles. Not only are the beaches gorgeous and relaxing, but Avila Beach CA has also developed a reputation for its oceanfront dining, soothing spa treatments, and a family-friendly atmosphere. The striking beauty of Avila Beach, with its sloping hills framing the beaches, brings visitors back time and time again.

A day in Avila Beach is best started by taking a stroll along one of the three piers that stretch into the ocean. Restaurants on the piers are known for serving fresh seafood plucked straight from local waters. Tasting seafood this fresh might just inspire you to spend a day in Avila Beach CA fishing. From the active fishing harbor, you can join a fishing expedition and try your luck. This is only one of the many family-friendly activities at this beach. Other fun ways to spend a day in Avila Beach include kayaking, biking, snorkeling, roller blading, and more. If you’re looking for a place where the kids will be entertained, you will love Avila Beach.
